Card 2 – PARTNER
This Card represents your partner and how they relate to the situation. It could be a quality or attribute that they have, or an action they have taken that created or defines the situation. It may also describe the effect that your partner has on you or the situation. Compare and contrast with Card 1 for an initial impression of how in-sync you are with this person.
Card 3 – PAST
This card represents where the relationship has been in the past. The timeline will depend on the relationship, but the cards are likely to reference an aspect of the past that has particular relevance for the current moment or overall reading. Think about how the aspects of you and your partner highlighted in Cards 1 and 2 may have determined or colored these past events.
Card 4 – PRESENT
This Card represents where things stand right now. If it seems surprising or incorrect, remember that sometimes creative interpretation of the cards is required – but also consider that you may be unaware of unwilling to face some aspect of the current situation. This Card represents an evolution of the situation of Card 3 but may be quite different, especially if a long period of time has elapsed, or many significant factors are at play.
Card 5 – FUTURE
This Card gives you a hint of where the relationship is headed in the future. It may be where things are likely to go if the current course is continued, or if action is taken based on the preceding cards. Either way, the Cards are telling you about this possible future for a reason – if you can’t figure out what that is, search the other cards for hints and clues.
