Fool’s Key is the perfect place to begin your journey with the Tarot. There is no set path or course to becoming familiar with the cards, but Fool’s Key believes in learning by doing. Explore the site, click on cards, explore their correspondences, and over time you will gain an intuitive feel for what the cards mean and how they relate to each other.
One way to start is by finding some readings which pique your interest. If you can’t make much sense of your cards, that’s ok! Click on their correspondences and treat the cards and words you find on them as hints or clarifications to see if that clears things up. If it still doesn’t make sense, that’s OK too – it takes time to consistently decode what message the cards have for you on any given day, and you can always simply do a different reading, or try again tomorrow. Over time, the cards will speak to you intuitively, but it takes time to develop this skill, so don’t be discouraged if doesn’t come to you right away!
The Correspondences on each card reveal the esoteric connections between the cards and areas such as Astrology and Numerology; these can be used to dig deeper on any one card, and over time will help you to form an interconnected web of knowledge instead of merely memorizing keywords.
